Yvonne Herman was born June 27, 1920 in Timmins, Ontario, Canada to Edmund and Marie Savard. She passed away peacefully at the age of 96 on August 3, 2016 at the Bishop Care Center. Yvonne was married to Melvin Herman for 48 years. They had four children. In 1964 they relocated to Bishop. Yvonne worked as a retail sales clerk in Canada and Bishop. She loved to play Bingo. She loved her family. She knew Jesus as her Savior and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Mel, daughter Charlotte, daughter-in-law Evelyn, great grandson Stephan, sisters Sally, Simone and Rhea, brothers Roger, Raymond, Maurice and Patrick. She is survived by her son Harry Herman, daughters Cindy (John) Tankersley and Kelli (Tom) Lanshaw; son-in-law Melvin Southcott; sister Claudette Marinig; grandchildren Kurt, Darlene, Renee, Sheri, Trevor, Colleen, Brenda, Nikki and Holly; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Yvonne’s family would like to thank the staff at the Bishop Care Center for their loving care of her during her last years.
A graveside committal service and family memorial will be held on September 11, 2016 at 12:15 pm at the West Line Street Cemetery.
