Ramon Marquez was born July 13, 1954 in Nayarit, Mexico and passed peacefully in his sleep on Friday April 17, 2020 in Bakersfield, California at the age of 65, after a long battle of cancer.

Ramon Marquez lived in Big Pine for 16 years working at the Samataguma Ranch, 5 miles south of Big Pine, he loved working outdoors and cattle. In 1996, he moved the family to Bakersfield to be closer to family, there he worked in construction for 10 years.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Maria Meza. He leaves behind his wife of 47 years Socorro Marquez and his six children Lucelva Meza spouse Melecio Meza, Eberardo Marquez spouse Lucinda Marquez, Adelina Rico spouse Oscar Rico, Sandra Marquez, Eric Marquez spouse Lorena Marquez, and Roy Marquez. He also leaves behind his 12 grandchildren Alexis, Juan, Cassandra, Gabriela Meza, Evelyn, Kevin Marquez, Mia, Isael Rico, Adrian Marquez, Jaylen, Jiselle, Daniel Marquez, one great grandchild Braydyn Gonzalez, his brothers, sisters and lots of nieces and nephews.

The family will have a private burial at the Big Pine Cemetery. Rest in Peace our beloved Dad and Grandpa.
