Jeanine Marie Cedarburg Williamson was born March 16, 1931, she was 90 years young. She was born in Corning, Iowa to Merle and Bessie Cedarburg. Her family traveled route 66 to California when she was a young girl. She graduated from Whittier Union High School on June 8th, 1949. She met and Married Yvonne Raymond Williamson singing in the church choir, and they were married June 24th, 1949, in the Presbyterian Church in Whittier, Ca.
They made their home in the Los Angeles area raising 5 children. Ray and Jeanine kept busy with family camping trips, buying, fixing and selling houses. Ray worked for Contel Telephone Company and had the opportunity to move to Bishop Ca in 1966. They decided to move to the beautiful Bishop and Owens Valley to raise their family in a small community. They loved the Bishop Area. All five children graduated from Bishop High School.
Jeanine became very active in the Presbyterian Church in Bishop. She belonged to the Presbyterian church as an elder within the church, was very involved with the youth group and keeping the church grounds beautiful with fresh flowers and keeping the weeds away. She belonged to the church Sewing and Bible Study groups. She also belonged to a book club, she loved to read especially political and history books. She had many friends who she enjoyed playing tennis, hiking the Sierra Nevada Mountains and traveling. She was involved with the school ski program at Mammoth Mountain. Jeanine also loved gardening, making stained glass, reading, sewing and tapestry stitchery. She loved traveling all over the globe and going out of town to go shopping in her later years. Jeanine and Ray loved to travel together with their best friends Dick and Pat Noles. Pat Noles and Jeanine have been friends for over 55 years.
She is proceeded in death by her husband of 49 years, her parents and siblings. She is survived by her children: Allen (Norma) Williamson, Christine Williamson, Linda Hunter, Caryn (Mike) Kerr, John (Amy) Williamson. 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. Her extended church family.
Jeanine would like everyone to know that she was prepared and eager to meet her Lord and Savior. She is now in peace and reunited with all her family in Heaven.
Services will be at Pioneer Cemetery, Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 11:00 am.
