Marguerite Marie Mullier Parr     1938-2022

Marguerite Marie Mullier Parr, known to those close to her as Maggie went home on Thursday afternoon June 23, 2022.  Mom is whole, healthy, pain free and soaring with King Jesus in the Kingdom Of Heaven.

She was amazing and lived a life full of courage and determination with many wonderful experiences. Mom displayed a care free easy going nature while brimming with laughter. She was 83 years old and still sweet, witty and gracious when she passed.

Maggie was born in Mouscron, Belgium on November 14, 1938 to Ludolphe and Suzanne Glorieux. After marrying my dad Dr. Michel E. Mullier they came to the United States on March 6, 1958. They had two children together, Anne Rousek and Peter Mullier.

Maggie moved to Bishop in July of 1996 to be closer to her daughter, son-in-law Joe Rousek and grandchildren Hayley, Daniel and Alexis where she began another chapter in her life.

Her love of family, friends, caring for the elderly was authentic and genuine. She made you feel loved and accepted. Maggie enjoyed good food, was an excellent cook and loved playing bridge, which eventually introduced her to Commander Harold S. Parr. After a year of courtship, consisting of chocolates, flowers and playing bridge they were married on August 29, 1998. They had a joyous, caring and honoring love for each other for fifteen years before Papa Hal went home to be with Jesus.

After a fall on January 5, 2019 Maggie broke her leg. Unfortunately, her inability to recover and walk again confined her. However, this opened up the door towards new relationships with the nurses, CNA’s and staff at the Bishop Care Center.  During her three year stay she

was well taken care of and loved by all. Thank you to everyone who took such kind, compassionate and loving care of mom!

She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Maggie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, son, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
